REGULAR MEETING

1. Meeting convened at 7:30 p.m.; those present and voting were the following members: Jane Cable, Chairman, Jane Marsh, Secretary arrived at 7:40 p.m., John Johnson, Vice Chairman, Tom Risom (Regular Member) and Pat Looney (Regular Member)
Also present: Harland Frazier (Alternate), Ted Kiritsis (Alternate), seated until Jane Marsh arrived and Ann Brown, Zoning Enforcement Officer
Absent: Joan Bozek (Alternate)
PUBLIC HEARING:
1. Modification to a Site Development Plan, 458 Shore Road, to add a two bedroom apartment to the warehouse building, Mark J. Brett, applicant.
A Motion was made by J. Johnson seconded by P. Looney to CONTINUE the Public Hearing to the September 9, 2013 Regular Meeting on the Modification to a Site Development Plan, 458 Shore Road, to add a two bedroom apartment to the warehouse building, Mark J. Brett, applicant. No discussion and a vote was taken. In favor: J. Cable, J. Marsh, J. Johnson, T. Risom, P. Looney Opposed: None Abstaining: None The motion passed unanimously. 5-0-0
REGULAR MEETING:
1. Modification to a Site Development Plan, 458 Shore Road, to add a two bedroom apartment to the warehouse building, Mark J. Brett, applicant – Public Hearing continued to September 9, 2013
2. Special Permit Application to permit two greenhouses measuring approximately 39’ x 61’ on property located at 15-1 Tantummaheag Road, which is in the Connecticut River Gateway Conservation Zone, Walker Potts, applicant/owner.
A Motion was made by J. Cable, seconded by J. Marsh to receive the Special Permit Application for 15-1 Tantummaheag Road, Walker Potts, applicant/owner and set a Public Hearing for Monday, September 9, 2013. No discussion and a vote was taken. In favor: J. Cable, J. Marsh, J. Johnson, T. Risom, P. Looney Opposed: None Abstaining: None The motion passed unanimously. 5-0-0
3. Release of Bond Request from The Old Lyme Country Club, 35 McCurdy Road – Bond not to be released at this time.
4. Approval of Minutes – Minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Meeting of July 8, 2013 – Minutes to be on September agenda

Jane Cable discussed a request made by Janet Lage to read into the record all e-mail correspondence.
A Motion was made by J. Johnson, seconded by T. Risom to write a polite response to Ms. Lage about reading e-mails into the record at the Zoning Commission Meeting. No discussion and a vote was taken. In favor: J. Cable, J. Marsh, J. Johnson, T. Risom, P. Looney. 5-0-0

A Motion was made by P. Looney, seconded by J. Johnson to adjourn the August 12, 2013 Regular Meeting. No discussion and a vote was taken. In favor: J. Cable, J. Marsh, J. Johnson, T. Risom, P. Looney. 5-0-0 The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
